In 1968 Winnicott presented his paper “The Use of an Object” at the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. Dr. Baudry’s paper puts Winnicott’s visit to the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute in its broader context of a clash between two very different psychoanalytic theories. His paper focuses on problems of communication between analytic systems.
