Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) combines principles of behavior therapy and Zen traditions of mindfulness with dialectical philosophy. DBT offers an effective treatment for patients with emotional dysregulation and self-destructive/self-injurious behavior. DBT offers psychoanalysts new insights on the process of therapeutic change.
